Meeting No.2

Hi all
Well the second meeting for the jewellers group of SA got off to a flying start at the Wheatsheaf on wednesday night with Katrina recapping on last months meeting.
Things discussed were;
- Having a group show, where a great start to launch this project will be the at the JMGA conference in Brisbane next year. We will need to contact the Qld JMGA committee for information on possible venues etc. Once this information is known we can start some grant applications for getting the work freighted, catalogued etc. This may be an onging discussion for the moment....
- Another possible group show is for SALA next year.
- Jewellers please keep updates of information on the blog to keep it updated and interesting
- Using google calendar to keep updates on comps, exhibitions, etc
- 'Show and Tell' at the meetings has started, so if you have anything you want to show us, get info or help on making, or just to share, feel free to bring something along to the group meeting.
- Interviews of an artist once a month will start on the blog. This month will start off with Leanne Marshall asking some questions of a selected artist of her choice -stay tuned- and then that selected artist to carry on the tradition to another artist with some questions. These may be about their worshop practices, making of work, materials used, anything really. Lets keep it interesting yet informative.
- Other things discussed were the possibility of guest speakers coming to the meetings, different venues for the meetings and shared information of suppliers used by different makers
