Wear a piece of Adelaide
Hello fellow jewellers,
I am writing to invite you to be a part of an exciting exhibition opportunity.
During the 2012 Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Adelaide College of the Arts TAFE SA is hosting a group exhibition of South Australian jewellers titled 'Wear a piece of Adelaide.'
This will be presented by Adelaide College of the Arts (TAFE), and exhibited in the Light Square Gallery - Upstairs Foyer from the 24th February - 18th March.
There will be an opening night and during the Fringe there will be many theatre performances taking place at the TAFE drawing in large audiences.
Fringe event guide details:
'Beautiful contemporary jewellery that is made in part by a piece of the city.
Small core samples from the buildings and streets we inhabit cast gorgeously to be worn for evermore.
Own a bit of Adelaide. Made in Adelaide. Wear your Adelaide.'
The brief is completely open ! It can be taken literally with the use of found objects, influences of local icons, or just inspired by Adelaide. You can exhibit a single piece or a collection of jewellery along with a short description of how your pieces relate to Adelaide.
Please send expressions of interest, including a brief outline of your ideas and any relevant images to naomi@naomischwartz.com.au
All jewellery will be for sale on consignment and the gallery will be taking a commission from sales of 40%.
We hope you can take part in this exhibition and we look forward to hearing from you,
Please pass this on to anyone you think may be interested.
Thank you
Naomi Schwartz
